It does not include volume control, making it suitable for shower layouts where water flow is controlled through separate components. This arrangement gives you greater flexibility when planning a multi-function shower, since each desired function can be configured with its own volume control trim and rough-in valve.

The dedicated temperature control makes the trim well suited to carefully planned shower systems where a consistent control layout is important. Its 3/4″ format provides a clear specification for coordinating the trim with the appropriate rough valve during the design and ordering process.

Designed for Custom Shower Configurations

From a streamlined two-person shower system to a more elaborate arrangement with multiple functions, the Riu thermostatic trim can support a variety of shower designs. Its temperature-only operation allows it to work as part of a broader system that may include separate controls for showerheads, hand showers, body sprays, or other functions, provided the required components are selected for the installation.

To complete the temperature control, the 1005N thermostatic rough valve must be ordered separately. This rough valve supports 12 GPM or 46 LPM. For every desired shower function, a volume control trim and R1040R rough-in valve must also be ordered separately. Planning these components together helps ensure that the finished shower system reflects the intended configuration and control requirements.
