The Riobel Paradox pressure-balance handshower system combines a round control plate, lever handle and rectangular slide bar. The kit includes the control trim, R51-family rough-in, handshower rail with flexible hose and wall supply elbow. Choose the finish and rough-in connection for your installation. A fixed overhead showerhead is not included.
Installation Planning
Plan the control and rail position before closing the wall. Set the included rough-in against the actual finished-wall thickness using the template and guide supplied with the selected valve; the decorative plate size is not a wall-cutout size. Flush the water supplies before connecting the valve. Confirm the rail fixing centres, hose reach and component connections on site before drilling. The rail dimensions use the drawings’ printed inch callouts and describe the illustrated assembly, not fixing-hole spacing or packaged dimensions. The linked pressure-balance manual covers several bath and shower layouts; use the instructions for this handshower configuration and leave the template in place until the wall work is complete.
Flow and Configuration
The valve and handshower are separate flow ratings. A valve-capacity figure does not describe the water delivered by the handshower. The linked standard rail sheet lists 2.0 GPM (7.6 L/min) at 60 PSI. Lower-flow or WaterSense references in that sheet apply only to the specifically identified component variants; no such certification is asserted for every kit option.
