Aquabrass M8402 4″ Round Ceiling Drop with Square Flange

The Aquabrass M8402 4″ Round Ceiling Drop with Square Flange provides a practical connection point for ceiling-mounted shower fixtures while giving the ceiling penetration a defined finished appearance. Its combination of a round ceiling drop and square flange creates a balanced geometric detail suited to contemporary bathroom installations and renovation projects.

Solid Brass Construction

Solid brass construction provides a substantial foundation for this ceiling-mounted shower component. The material is appropriate for its role within a shower plumbing assembly and gives the M8402 a purpose-built construction for overhead fixture applications.

For bathroom renovations or new shower projects, having a dedicated ceiling connection component helps establish the required connection point for overhead water delivery. The straightforward brass construction also keeps the focus on the surrounding shower fixtures rather than introducing unnecessary detailing.

4-Inch Round Ceiling Drop

The M8402 features a 4-inch round ceiling drop that creates a defined circular profile at the installation point. Its compact size provides a focused connection detail for overhead shower arrangements while maintaining a simple overall appearance.

The round form can work naturally with shower layouts that incorporate circular fixture elements. It provides a clear visual transition between the ceiling and the overhead shower connection, making it suitable for installations where the finished appearance of the ceiling hardware is an important consideration.

Square Flange

A square flange adds a contrasting geometric element to the round ceiling drop. This combination of circular and square shapes can coordinate with contemporary bathroom fixtures that use both rounded and angular design details.

Beyond its visual role, the flange provides a defined transition around the ceiling connection. This helps give the installation a more organised appearance rather than leaving the connection point as an exposed plumbing detail.

1/2-Inch NPT Male Connection

The M8402 uses a 1/2-inch NPT male connection, providing a specified threaded interface for the overhead shower installation. This connection detail is important when selecting compatible plumbing components and planning the complete shower arrangement.

Before installation, the 1/2-inch NPT male connection should be checked against the intended shower fixture and existing plumbing configuration to confirm suitability. This allows the ceiling drop to be properly coordinated with the components used in the installation.

Ceiling-Mounted Shower Applications

The Aquabrass M8402 is intended for ceiling-mounted shower applications where a dedicated connection point is required for an overhead fixture. Its 4-inch round profile, square flange, solid brass construction, and specified threaded connection provide the essential characteristics needed for this type of shower installation.

With its combination of circular and square design elements, the M8402 can complement contemporary bathroom layouts while maintaining a focused and practical ceiling connection. It is suitable for projects where both the plumbing interface and visible finishing detail need to be considered.
